KHODARA brings a different, more delicate sound than her previous ‘Where is Your Love’ EP, released last December, which offered a distinctly more upbeat, bright, and true pop sound. But ‘Bille’ EP showcases another weapon in the NYC-based artist’s impressive arsenal.

Title, and opening, track ‘Billie’ is the standout: KHODARA’s crooning vocals winding around each and every word, her talent apparent in spades. Much like ‘Lunatics,’ which sees out the EP, with its punching, confident chorus.
Where both ‘Anxious’ and ‘Twisted Mind’ give equal leverage to vocals and sound, letting synthetics and instrumentals have their moment in the spotlight, there is no denying that this EP is a showcase of KHODARA’s lyrical and vocal ability.
And why shouldn’t it be? If you’ve got it, flaunt it: and KHODARA certainly has it. What’s more, she’s making it her own. From her bright, punchy debut EP to this, her second release, KHODARA is distorting traditional pop, and putting her own, unique mark on it. And doing it well.
‘Billie’ EP is out on 17th March 2017.
