Raw, punchy and packed with rock grit and funk rhythms, Italian indie-rockers Keemosabe have released their self-titled debut EP. Indulgent in big pulsing energy and daring infusions, the four defiantly belie their tranquil small town home near Lake Maggiore.
A band that have seen themselves perform across Italy – including the 3000-capacity Alcatraz in Milan – Keemosabe have now expanded the breadth of their music to venues in both London and New York, including sell-out performances at The Islington and Servant’s Jazz Quarters.
With four tracks that allow no falter in thrill, the band begin the EP with the crunching riffs of ‘Out of the City’, followed by a backdrop of funky grooves in ‘All Is One’ and culminate in a transition to a more dreamy, atmospheric tone in ‘Stay Awake’ – one that is mirrored by the track’s accompanying nostalgic visuals.
Recorded at Abbey Road Studios with an astounding level of execution for their debut EP, the band offer four upbeat, innovative tracks that will lift any mood.
Accomplishing everything they do with authentic creative flair – proven in their recent scoop of top prize at the Roma Videoclip Awards for the ‘Out of the City’ visuals – the band infuse a generational span of 60s psychedelia, 70s funk and 90s rock to create their unique sucker punch sound.
