Punky and interchanging sounds from the decades, Fortunes have released their new EP ‘Undress’ and it lives up to their seamless vocals and tight beats. Demonstrating an array of RnB and Funky beats, the EP kicks off their hot sound with ‘501’s’. Repping their RnB sound, this track focuses on the tone and pitch of vocalist Conor, drawing the soul vibes out of the singer and into the heart of the track.
Following up their 2015 EP ‘Hoodie’ which relied more on the heavy beats, courtesy of the latter of the duo, Barnaby. And their 2016 EP ‘Jacket’s which seemed to draw upon the rap influence. We can see how ‘Undress’ has explored the soul and funk vibes, showing just how versatile this duo can really be. Bringing out the drawn-out vocals and tight knit beats, this EP is inundated with style and individuality.

Ending the EP with the soft track ‘Focus’, whispering vocals and soft beats and whispers. The work of art is gracefully fading out with the best track on the album. Eluding confidence, this track demonstrates the heart felt, passionate vocals and the art of Barnaby on the sub focus of the backing sound. A real embodiment of how individuals can improve and master their sound, this EP is one for any listener who likes the influence of soul, RnB, punk and indie vibes.
