Bloody Knees release new EP 'Stitches'

EP REVIEW : Bloody Knees – ‘Stitches’ EP

Cambridge band ‘Bloody Knees’ release new material on 25th August 2014. The ‘Stitches’ EP is released via Dog Knights Productions (their debut release on this label) and is another slice of fist punching, head twitching skater-rock from this excellent four piece.

The six tracks showcase a band emanating an obvious growth in confidence. The ‘Stitches’ EP is a massive step up in quality from their 2013 self-titled EP, which itself was an impressive debut,  and clearly reveals a band at the beginning of what should become quite a journey. ‘Garbage Brain’ and ‘Daydream’ are furious, guitar sodden tracks that stand-out on this extremely high quality release.

Current release and title track ‘Stitches’ is a relentless 2 minutes 20 seconds of mixed tempo’s and wonderful distorted guitars. The track was written by lead singer Bradley Griffiths after he smashed his face on tour with Wolf Alice “I’m covered in blood, but at least I’m having fun”.

The band are due to play the BBC Introducing stage at the Reading \ Leeds festivals which should be indication enough of a group very much on the up-and-up
