BBE Records host a 13-track release from this Finnish duo on a vastly diverse collection. Anahata’s hip-hop background and vocalist, multi-instrumentalist Heikki (aka Akanuke’s) jazzier roots, collide and morph into their own niche sound.
Bluesey guitars, R’n’B rhythms and modern soul, ranging from a quite unique, horn-led, Dubstep-paced take on Led Zepplin’s ‘Whole Lotta Love’ to the big-beats of the soaring original ‘When I Feel Lonely (I Dance)’. Others such as ‘Love Affair’, likewise, has many contours and peaks with a fitting rap by E. Thelo.

Mellow staccatto organ and horns take their turn on ‘Greek Statue’. Near-faultless vocal harmony, syncopation and melody throughout; impactive songwriting, from verse to chorus and beyond. There are plenty more awaiting your attention as they seek global approval beyond the confines of Finland, on this memorable collection.
