No Mercury release shimmering dark-pop debut

Former One Little Indian Records artist returns at No Mercury

Former One Little Indian Records artist (now One Little Indie) singer/drummer Raphael Mura of London based french post punk band Underground Railroad launches solo project No Mercury with self-produced debut single ‘Intertia’. He explains that ‘No Mercury is the sum of all my experiences, influences and aspirations that made me fully formed artist’.

No Mercury was born after a short break from making music with Underground Railroad.  Having had their album ‘Sticks and Stones’ given the accolade of ‘The Alternative album of 2008’ in the NME, Underground Railroad went on to support the likes off Dinosaur Junior, Gallon Drunk, Deerhoof, Autolux and Nada Surf around the globe.

Musically inspired by the electronic quiet post punk of HTRK, Billie Eilish and Billy Corgan, Nirvana and Frank Ocean, ‘Inertia’ is a 1990’s VS 2020 dream/nightmare pop short story about the importance of standing up when you’re being pushed down.
