With an already stellar year on the cards so far, with tracks like ‘Rise’ and ‘Boomerang’ impressing us throughout, fast-rising singer and songwriter Nadia Vaeh returns with her latest slice of alt-pop glory, ‘Anxiety’.
Released in support of non-profit organisation MusiCares to raise critical funds that can directly support music people in need, ‘Anxiety’ sees her deliver one of her darkest and most atmospheric offerings to date. With notable comparisons to the likes of Billie Eilish, Lana Del Rey, and FKA twigs, this new stomper is filled with anthemic production and a soaring aesthetic throughout.
Speaking about the release, she said, “Anxiety is a fabric of my life, as it is for so many others. This world breeds anxiety as if it were positive for us. Sometimes I am able to channel my anxieties in a positive way; other times, it can disable my ability to function. It just depends on the day… sometimes the hour. I am just glad society is arriving at a place where we can keep the topic of mental health a bit more open. The more we embrace the light and dark sides of the human experience, the easier it is to recognize and enjoy the goodness.”
