JUSTIN JESSO SHARES THE NEW SINGLE ‘TOO GOOD TO LOSE’

Justin excels at dramatic, arena-scaled pop which explores the myriad ways in which love falters.

Global hitmaker Justin Jesso has gone from strength-to-strength since breaking through as featured artist and co-writer of Kygo’s global hit ‘Stargazing’. With tracks such as ‘Getting Closer’, ‘Bigger Than’ and the recent ‘If You’re Meant To Come Back’, he’s exceeded a total of 650 million streams and commands 4.1 million monthly listeners at Spotify.

Justin excels at dramatic, arena-scaled pop which explores the myriad ways in which love falters. That’s also true of his new single ‘Too Good To Lose’. The song opens with Justin’s naturally compelling vocal immediately hitting the emotional heart of the situation. The production subtly builds anticipation, before the towering hook powers into prominence with a striking melody.

The original idea for the song emerged during a writing trip to Sweden. Justin was telling his co-writer/producer team Anton Rundberg and Julia Karlsson (Carly Rae Jepson, MNEK, Galantis) about his weaknesses in the relationship he was in at time,

Justin explains,“‘Too Good To Lose’ is about knowing that you’re being unfair to someone, but loving them so much you can’t let go. I realised I wasn’t a good match for my significant other. I was away all the time travelling, wrapped up in my work and stubborn. I realised I should let this person go so they can find happiness somewhere else, but I couldn’t do it. It’s also about being able to accept yourself and your partner for who you both are. We all have things about ourselves we wish we could change for the person we love.”

Recent weeks have seen Justin share a variety of content to continue to connect with fans. Highlights have included an emotive lockdown-themed video for ‘If You’re Meant To Come Back’; a home-streamed show which included a dazzling solo rendition of ‘Stargazing’; and the Evening Standard’s performance / Zoom interview series At Home With. He also curated a playlist of under appreciated songs for Wonderland, selecting a diverse set of songs from artists including MNEK,Starrah and Ingrid Andress.

In addition to ‘Stargazing’, Justin has written or recorded with Nina Nesbitt, AJ Mitchell, Seeb, Madcon, Alle Farben, Backstreet Boys and Armin Van Buuren. He was even nominated for a Latin Grammy as co-writer of Ricky Martin’s chart-topping ‘Vente Pa’ Ca’. His solo career took off with his debut EP ‘Let It Be Me’ and its lead single ‘Getting Closer’.

Expect his journey to continue with further releases in the near future.
