Fans of Goldfrapp and in particular their hauntingly beautiful 2000 album, Felt Mountain, will have to wait another year to see the duo celebrate it in concert.
The anniversary tour was originally scheduled for Spring 2020. But in March 2020, Goldfrapp took the “very sad but essential decision” to postpone the tour until 2021.
Last week Alison and Will announced that they were rescheduling again until spring 2022. But with extra shows in Nottingham, Bath and Cambridge (dates below).
“All previously purchased tickets remain valid.”
Speaking in 2019, Alison Goldfrapp said: “It is the first album Will and I recorded as Goldfrapp, launching us in a new musical direction, and the moment for me, after 13 years or so in music, that I found a creative direction that I was truly excited about.”
She added: “I was intrigued then by the flawed concept of perfection which has become so much more intensified in our self-reflective social media era.”
The duo formed in 1999. Felt Mountain reached number 57 in the UK charts having been released in September 2000. It was shortlisted for the 2001 Mercury Music Prize.
