GIGsoup is proud to premiere the new music video “Falling” from pop music duo RubyGld Smoke. T.L and Dani Jo Williams (RubyGld Smoke) are gearing up to release their debut album Revolutionary Love on November 19th, much to the anticipation of fans who have been waiting for the couple’s debut full-length release. “Falling” is preceded by the duo’s debut single “Throw Away Tonight” which received critical acclaim from top tastemaking blogs in the music industry for its upbeat retro-heavy vibe and powerful vocals, showcased between the two singers.
“Falling” follows in the same vein but reveals a softer, more romantic side of RubyGld Smoke. The cinematic music video features the couple as they gracefully show off the romance that started it all for them. The single, produced and written by RubyGld Smoke, describes the moment of initially falling in love with someone. Lyrically focusing on those first few magical days the duo describes the first flutters of romantic connection where you can’t stop talking to the person you are interested in. “You tend to text and talk to this one person more times in the day,” or are the “Only one that I’m calling,” RubyGld Smoke sings.“When we talk, conversations all night.” The sonic landscape of the song is reminiscent of guitar-driven 90’s R&B with a modern pop flare. “We wanted to make a song that captured the emotions and vibes of falling in love quite like we did,” says RubyGld Smoke.
Entertaining the masses with their retro pop music and making marriage look sexy again is only a slice of what this iconic power couple has to offer. Terrance and Dani Jo Williams (RubyGld Smoke) are the entrepreneurs of Quiet Kingdom Recordings and Quiet Kingdom Media Group (film company). The duo is also the founder of Symphony Of Change Inc. – an arts education organization dedicated to equitable arts enrichment programs throughout the US. When Dandria Dani Jo Williams met her husband T. L. Williams in early 2014, it was clear from the jump they were made to do something big together. Their undeniable chemistry was evident even as T. L. embarked on an initial solo career, garnering over 3 million streams with hits like “Gettin Mo Money Than You” and “Melanin”. Meanwhile, Dani Jo was a behind-the-scenes contributor through the entirety of T. L.’s 6 album solo run, co-writing songs and adding vocals. The couple, feeling like it was finally time, has now come out front together with an eclectic mix of pop-soul energy a la “Rose Royce”. The two are completing their forthcoming debut entitled Revolutionary Love, set for release on their label Quiet Kingdom Recordings in 2021.
