Alex Frew’s introduction with debut single ‘Get Out Alive’ presented to listeners a passionate, although unquestionably shy, character with a penchant for creative sweeping pop hooks and relatable lyrics. The 18-year-old Canadian songwriter has kept that bar high with his second track ‘Antisocial Love Song’.
This time, Frew is joined by the luscious voice of A is for Arrows who represents the distanced romantic other that Frew wants to isolate with above anyone else.
Although ‘Antisocial Love Song’ wasn’t intended to mirror the current situation surrounding the pandemic, this emotive pop song has taken on a new meaning this year.
“It wears its pop music qualities on its sleeve, but it touches on the difficulty of being alone and finding connections with others – a feeling which has only been amplified by the world’s current situation. I can’t wait to release it.” – Alex Frew
