FIERO ‘Reunion’ EP Review

US dream-pop duo unveil a wealth of ideas on debut EP

After the huge success that ran in the wake of their initial singles ‘Coupe’ and ‘Between The Bars’, US dream-pop duo FIERO have been gaining huge momentum for their sound since, and now look to cement their legacy on the new music scene with their debut EP ‘Reunion’.

Opening up with the collection’s title-track, ‘Reunion’ looks to make a bold and vibrant impression right from the start. Filling itself with rich and soaring synths, along with some truly euphoric vocals, each of these new cuts is a uniquely beautiful addition to their brief but solid catalogue to date. While it is clear to hear the influences that have inspired this release, the new EP is a distinctly unique endeavour that manages to not only capture the magic and majesty of their direction, but leaves us hanging on every note, begging for more by the end.

Things are still moving upwards for FIERO and the quality of this new release is testament to that. There is so much promise and intrigue packed into these four songs that it almost feels like we are being short-changed, knowing full well that this is only the beginning and more needs to be released as soon as possible.
