Bristol newcomers Make Friends drop woozy new single

'Hesitate' follows the four-piece's BBC Music Introducing Maida Vale session

Bristol’s Make Friends have dropped their new single this week, a stunning groove-infused late-summer jam called ‘Hesitate’ – out now via Funnel Music.

Fresh from releasing a great BBC Maida Vale live session the fast rising four-piece are developing an impressive and highly addictive sound.

Guitarist David Thomas add… Hesitate is about dealing with the weight and responsibility of having a friend that is suffering from addiction. The song portrays an internal struggle where you want to be there for them, but at the same time you don’t know the right words to say or actions to take, and you’re worried you might fail them.”

Since releasing the popular indie banger ‘Ellie’ and the ‘Hi’ EP in 2019, Make Friends have gained support from BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X and have established themselves as a mainstay at BBC Introducing.

Ideal for those reflective summer evenings in September, Hesitate is perfect for now and a promising indication of what this exciting new band is capable of… Tune in!
