Alexander Jean, consisting of husband and wife duo, Mark Ballas and BC Jean, is an indie-pop duo. They name for the duo is a combination of their middle names. They became an official duo in 2015, releasing their first hit, “Roses and Violets.”
Ballas is best known for his time on “Dancing With The Stars” and Broadway. BC actually wrote the Beyoncé hit, “If I Were A Boy.” The duo has released two EPs, both of which have reached number one on the singer/songwriter charts, numerous singles, including a few Christmas ones, and have collaborated with artists like Casey Abrams and Lindsey Stirling.
On November 13th, the husband and wife released their upbeat ballad, with Ballas on the guitar, “Highs and Lows.” The song talks about what happens to couples when the ‘honeymoon phase’ is over and they really get to know each other and love their significant other a their highest of highs and lowest of lows.
The new track, released under their newly attained label, Parts and Labor, was co-written with Kevin Kadish (“All About That Bass”) and produced by Jimmy Messer, who has worked with Kelly Clarkson and AWOL Nation.
Alexander Jean teased on their Instagram that more new music will be coming shortly, so stay tuned for that.
