Young Kato sadly announced their departure from music yesterday with a sweet goodbye note on social media. “After 6 incredible years together we have reached a decision and decided that it is time to bring Young Kato to an end.”
The decision by the Cheltenham based 6 piece comes from the band reaching a point where “we want to go on to explore other opportunities and have some new adventures.” Having released their debut album ‘Don’t Wait ‘Till Tomorrow’ in May 2015, and the latest EP ‘One. Two. Three. Four.’ released in October 2016, it seems we will have to treat the bands music like gold dust and never let it leave our playlists.

In the post the band thanked their fans saying, ‘we’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone that believed in us – anyone that came to our shows, listened to our music and generally showed us constant love and support.’
As a result, Young Kato will be playing for one last time at Oslo in London on Saturday 10th June for a very special farewell show. If you are a fan of the indie rockers you will not want to miss this, we can guarantee the very best music, along with laughs, a hell of a lot of tears, and a memory that will last a lifetime.
Tickets are available now at only £10, grab one quick as these are set to sell out in no time.
If there is one last thing to say, it’s thank you! To Tommy, Jack, Sam, Harry, Lever and Green for the amazing music they created. It will never go unforgotten by the thousands of fans that have it soundtracked into their lives. We wish Young Kato the very best with whatever comes in the future.
