The talented whenyoung are about to restart touring the UK, after last November’s release of their EP Given Up. On January 18th the Limerick trio has played a gig in the Netherlands, during the Eurosonic Noorderslag.
Previously openers for acts like the Vaccines and Blossoms, it is time again for the band to roll around their sound and to shine as the protagonists of the scene. The new single “Never Let Go”, released in January via Virgin EMI, will be also part of the shows. This song confirms the fast, alt-pop dimension already emerging from their previous work and places whenyoung among the best new prospects of the year.
The UK series of concerts will begin on February 9th in Bristol, at the Rough Trade. Then it will be the turn for Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham, in close sequence over the following three days. On February 13th, the band will perform at Elektrowerkz in London. That’s not all, as in March whenyoung will cross the Ocean and play at Mercury Lounge, in New York City.
Here is the complete list of the UK dates and venues:
February 9 Bristol, Rough Trade
February 10 Manchester, The Deaf Institute
February 11 Glasgow, The Poetry Club
February 12 Birmingham, Kings Heath High Street
February 13 London, Elektrowerkz
