Roger Waters has never been shy about sharing his political views, and his latest statement has come in the form of a series of anti-Trump visuals backing a performance of his classic song ‘Pigs (Three Different Ones)’. Originally appearing on Pink Floyd’s masterful ‘Animals’, the performance in question came from a show he played in Mexico City to a crowd of over 300,000 late last year.

The location couldn’t be more fitting given Trump’s stance on Mexicans and the enthusiasm from the audience couldn’t be more obvious. Also seen in the video is a giant inflatable pig (no doubt an update on the one seen on the cover of ‘Animals’) with the words ‘Fuck Trump and his wall’ proudly emblazoned on it.
It’s not the only time Waters has attacked Trump, either. His performance at Desert Trip festival last year also saw him play to similar visuals, which included images that portrayed Trump as a Klansman, a Nazi and a sheep.
The video of his Mexico City performance was posted to Facebook on the night of Trump’s inauguration, captioned with the simple line “the resistance begins today”.
A note from Roger:The resistance begins today.
