Hear Father John Misty's new single, 'Ballad Of The Dying Man'

Watch Father John Misty sing from behind the drums on new live session

During a live session for CBC Radio, Father John Misty made an impromptu move from his usual position as guitarist and sometime pianist to pick up the sticks and sing from behind the drum kit for a performance of ‘Things It Would Have Been Helpful To Know Before The Revolution’.

Josh Tillman hasn’t drummed on record since his days in Fleet Foxes half a decade ago, so it’s something of a surprise to see him hitting the skins during this live performance. Watch the video below to see his drums/vocal work in action and while you’re at it, check out our review of his recently released Pure Comedy, certainly one of the most talked about albums of the year so far.
