Young indie band Viola Beach have been killed in a car crash in Sweden along with their manager, reports say.
Five British men, believed to be the members of the Warrington-based band and their manager, were traveling in a car in Stockholm yesterday, when they crashed into a barrier and plunged over 80 feet into a canal below.
The cause of the crash is not yet known, but it is being reported that the fatalities were Viola Beach, along with their manager. The band were on tour in Sweden.
The talented foursome had recently been on tour with the Courteeners, and were due to play a gig with Stockport band Blossoms last night, which was subsequently cancelled before reports surfaced this morning.
Condolences have been pouring in from shocked fans all morning, as well as many bands and record labels expressing great sadness at this terrible news.
