The glinting optimism of Liverpool’s most exciting alt-pop outfit, The Peach Fuzz return with Softie, the new single out now via Skeleton Key Records/Warners, preceding the band’s first ever UK Headline Tour. Culminating in a homecoming at Liverpool’s Arts Club on Saturday, 28th March 2020, the tour takes in nine, nationwide dates including a London headline show at Victoria, Dalston on Wednesday, 11th March 2020 – Tickets.
Sugar-coating a cutting commentary on masculinity, expectation and identity politics with their typically, up-tempo, soft-wired electro-indie sound, The Peach Fuzz round the edges of modern life’s relentless pressures with honey-sweet vocals and smooth, vintage synths. Described by the band as “an exhausted, teary-eyed rant” that came to life when the macho bullshit became too much, the single kicks back at conformity and stereotypes, while beating a rebellious path to the dance floor.
