With a third album set for a dropping next month ‘Ewert and The Two Dragons’ have announced a large European tour to coincide with the release.
The new album ‘Circles’ will hit on the 24th February, via Sire/Warner Music, and contains the infectious ‘Pictures’ which can can hear in all its glory below. ‘Circles’ was produced by Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Vance Joy) and follows 2011’s ‘Good Man Down’ and 2009’s ‘The Hills Behind the Hills’.
“It was definitely a special process for us,” frontman Ewert Sundja explains. “Our previous two albums were recorded within a short period of time. This time we spent over a month in a studio in the U.S. — and that was a big thing.”
“On previous albums, we had all the songs done and studio time was only recording time. This time, we had three or four songs from the beginning, but the rest of the songs were just ideas. The new album is different than the albums before, while we were recording, it seemed like everyone was having the same kind of questions and thinking about the same things and this became a concept for the album,” Sundja says.
