They played an intimate, one-off gig at the O’Meara in London this week – their first gig in the capital for 2 years. Vinny from the band told us that they’d been up to during that time. ‘Normal things, myself (Vinny) and Jay got engaged to our partners and are getting married soon. Just normal stuff! It’s been nice to have some time off to travel and just relax’
2017 is going to be busy for Kodaline. Not only will they be touring, they’ll be releasing a new album ‘This album is really about friends and family and people who have directly affected our lives for better or worse!’ It’s the first time the band have worked with a variety of different writers and producers including pop guru Wayne Hector, Jonny Coffer (Beyonce, Emeli Sande), Naughty Boy and Two Inch Punch (Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Sam Smith).
The new single ‘Brother‘ is out now. They worked with producer Steve Harris, Two Inch Punch, and with long-time collaborator Johnny McDaid on this new track – ‘It’s a song about us really, and being there for each other! We’ve been in this together for such a long time that we are family now and just about saying that we have each other’s back!’
