As if ‘The Book of Souls World Tour’ wasn’t already massive enough, Iron Maiden have announced 25 new North American dates for summer 2017, with Swedish metal powerhouse Ghost in tow.
Begun in February of 2016, the world tour in support of Iron Maiden’s chart-topping double album ‘The Book of Souls’ has already touched down in 36 countries across 6 continents.
Iron Maiden are committed to casting a wide net as far as locations go with this tour. According to bassist Steve Harris:
“So this year we’re able to reach many more cities in America, including a return to places Maiden haven’t played for many, many years like Lincoln Nebraska, Minneapolis, Oklahoma City and Oakland California. We also welcome playing in Brooklyn for the first time.”
Fans can rest easy knowing that the band intend to bring the full Mayan-themed stage production with them, complete with towering Eddie figures and backdrops. Maiden are clearly very proud of the acclaim that the previous legs of the tour have received, and want to show it off for as many fans as they can. “Most of our North American fans haven’t seen the show yet so as we want to give them the same ‘Book of Souls’ live experience that we took around the world, it’s unlikely we’ll change much,” Harris continued.
The choice of supporting act in Ghost is a sure sign to fans that this tour will be all about showmanship, and not one to miss. To wit, there will be lots and lots of fire.
Tickets and TROOPER VIP passes go on sale January 27th, with exclusive pre-sale available now to Iron Maiden Fan Club members.
