Eagles of Death Metal have announced that they will complete their postponed European tour dates in 2016, renaming the run of gigs as ‘The Nos Amis’ tour.
The band’s European run was cut short by the horrific events at the Bataclan Theatre in Paris on November 13. However, they will return to the city on February 16 next year to play the Olympia music hall. Frontman Jesse Hughes said: “The people of Paris have always been incredible to us, and our feeling of love towards this beautiful city and its people has been reinforced a million times over this past month. Hearing the stories of the survivors, the injured and those who have lost loved ones has been overwhelming. Not returning to finish our set was never an option. We look forward to coming back in February and continuing our mission to bring rock ‘n’ roll to the world.”
Fans who were at the Bataclan on November 13 are entitled to a free ticket by contacting their original ticket supplier between January 5 and January 20. Meanwhile, fans who had bought tickets for the cancelled date will have a pre-sale window to re-purchase their refunded tickets.
For UK fans, the band have also announced that they will be playing Reading and Leeds 2016, their only UK festival appearance of the year.
