Brisbane band DZ Deathrays (Shane Parsons and Simon Ridley) are back with a new single, ‘Gina Works At Hearts’ and have revealed details of their new album ‘Black Rat’, and UK tour dates. And trust me when i say that the 3 minutes and 36 seconds of the new single contains moments of pure rock genius.
The new album was recorded over the course of 6 weeks, where they worked 16 hour days, at The Grove studio with producer Burke Reid (MSTRKRFT, The Drones, The Mess Hall). If the showcase single (see below) is anything to go by then we’re in for a real treat. Their signature sound is still there but there are also hints at positive progression from 2012 album ‘Bloodstreams’.
