Brendan Lukens announces his absence from next Modern Baseball tour

Modern Baseball‘s Brendan Lukens has announced that he will not be joining his fellow bandmates on their upcoming European and UK tour.

Posting to the band’s official Facebook page, Lukens bravely explained that he would be absent for ‘Tourope’ due to need to focus on his “mental and physical health”. “This was an incredibly hard decision for me, and it was even harder comforting myself and the band about how I am feeling. Still, I know this is what I need right now.”

Lukens went on to explain the importance and seriousness of mental illness, describing his faith in himself and anyone else coping with mental health issues.

“Mental illness is very serious and should never be taken lightly. It’s a long journey to understanding and coping with your illness but I have so much faith in y’all, and myself.”

The remainder of the  band will continue on with the tour, with help from their supporting bands Thins Lips, Superweaks and all the MOBO crew.
