Nashville-based singer-songwriter Andrew Combs has unveiled the dates of his upcoming UK tour behind anticipated new album ‘Canyons of My Mind,’ as well as releasing a new song and video from the LP in ‘Blood Hunters.’
The eerie, suspenseful clip, directed by Ry Cox, showcases various perspectives on some looming threat that goes unrevealed until the final shot. We won’t spoil it here, but suffice it to say the palpable dread proves warranted.

Although the video makes the danger tangible, ‘Blood Hunters’ comes from a more abstract place. Of the track, Combs said, “It came out in a haze of post tour blues; this being the 24-72 hours after you get home from tour in which you find yourself restless and somewhat deranged. The 180-degree flip in movement, conditions, and sleep patterns does this to me every time. Anyways, I lost it during one of these episodes. I thought everyone and their mother was out to get me, including myself.” The anxiety shows in the skeletal folk-rock arrangement and lyrics detailing the impossibility of escape from an indistinct threat. If the rest of ‘Canyons of My Mind’ matches the high bar this track (and the earlier released ‘Dirty Rain’) set, there is great cause for excitement.
