The dream of playing in America probably features highly on every British band’s bucket list. Well for Bristol boys Ashestoangels, this is becoming a reality. The New Grave rock band have been given a supporting slot on Aiden’s The Last Sunrise Tour spanning across America throughout October and November. This only comes after supporting rock giants Black Veil Brides in California, so this is very big news indeed.
Raising money for such an honourable and huge endeavour is not going to be easy, so the band have created a unique money raising scheme. Selling t-shirts with a twist. Fans can purchase a t-shirt with a screen-printed cat on it, with the slogan “I helped out Ashestoangels and all I got was this shirt with a cat on it.” Sounds simple, but here’s the catch, the price you pay is down to you. If you fancy chipping in a few extra quid to help out, the band will more than likely throw in more thanks and hugs than is recommended for human consumption. All information for these shirts can be found on the Ashestoangels website.
All this very exciting news means having to cancel the Sheffield date of their remaining British shows. However, Ashestoangels will bow out in style before going Stateside. So if you want to catch them and wish them luck with their venture, here are the last dates in the UK:
Wednesday 14th October – Exile, Plymouth – Playing with Eskimo Callboy, The One Hundred, Cabin Boy Jumped Ship
Thursday 15th October – The Battersea Barge – London Town
Saturday 17th October – The Louisiana – Bristol Town
The London date is an intimate affair, only 150 tickets are available. Also the Bristol date is a fans dream: the first 50 tickets allow you access to the afterparty including an acoustic set. VIP tickets also allow you early entry into the show to mingle with the band and a promise of tea and coffee. Essentially it is an Ashes Family Gathering, so get down there for an awesome party.
