Slaves have revealed that they are “nearly” finished working on their second album and have postponed a show in Derby as they need ‘an extra week to finish it‘.

In an announcement on Facebook, they said, “To everyone who got tickets to see us play at The Hairy Dog for the Dr Martens new store launch in Derby, we are incredibly sorry but we are having to postpone until the 12th May. We have nearly got album 2 done but need an extra week to finish it. Thanks for your patience. Promise to play some new songs and some really old ones too!”

The punk duo only released their debut album ‘Are You Satisfied?’ in June last year, receiving a Mercury Prize nomination along the way. Having already described the forthcoming second LP to NME as “heavy, dirty and fun”, it certainly seems like the pair from Turnbridge Wells aren’t keen on waiting about until their next release.
