Following the BBC 6Music seal of approval from indie legend Steve Lamacq for their recent single Bonnie & Clyde, young UK Indie Rock band The Falmouths are back with a new single on all download and streaming platforms today. The powerful and energetic garage rock of Twenty is out now, and the band have also announced three new live shows to promote its release.
By distilling the sounds of acts such as The Black Keys, SWMRS, The Strokes, Catfish and the Bottlemen and many others in their early days together as a band, The Falmouths developed their own blend of swirling guitar verses and hard-hitting choruses. The emotive lyricism and gritty vocals, of frontman and songwriter Joshua Weaver, lead the quartet’s sound into new directions with each new release. These elements have led the band, who also features Lucas Persin on lead and rhythm guitar, Joss Henderson on bass and Samuel Albinson on drums, into new heights in the last twelve months, where they have gone from strength to strength with a string of shows played up and down the UK, together with high profile support from the likes of BBC 6Music, BBC Introducing and indie legend Steve Lamacq.
6th March – The Mother’s Ruin, Bristol
15th May – The Victoria, Swindon
25th July – Mfor Festival, Swindon
