Ringo Starr has been working on new material recently, and it looks as though Paul McCartney popped in to help out.
Starr posted a picture of the two former band-mates together on Twitter last night, with the caption “Thanks for coming over man and playing great bass. I love you man peace and love.” Aside from their more obvious history of collaborations – both in and out of The Beatles – they’ve worked together numerous times over the last few years. McCartney guested on Starr’s 2010 album ‘Y Not’, whilst Starr has sporadically appeared live with McCartney, most recently at the 2014 Grammys.
Starr’s new material follows up from 2015’s ‘Postcards From Paradise’ and looks set to be a typically star studded affair, with guest spots from Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton and Tom Petty And The Heartbreaker’s Benmont Tench all confirmed.
