Weezer have dropped a megaton on fans this morning. If announcing a new album wasn’t enough, the band have shared ‘Feels Like Summer’, a track which features on the new record.

Weezer state they decided to “skip spring entirely and go straight to summer”. ‘Feels Like Summer’ is undeniably a sunshine-infused cut, yet it’s somewhat a departure from the back-to-roots-pop-punk of their acclaimed self-titled album that released last year.

As well as sharing new music, the band have announced a handful of UK tour dates, commencing in October. Here’s the full set of dates:

23rd October: Leeds, O2 Academy

24th October: Glasgow, O2 Academy

25th October: Manchester, O2 Apollo

27th October: Birmingham, O2 Academy

28th October: London, SSE Arena Wembley

Tickets for these dates go on sale Friday 24th March at 9am. Keep an eye out on these, as Weezer promise a “very special guest” is to be announced.

Weezer’s supposed eleventh studio album will be with us, yes, you guessed it, sometime in the summer.
