Back in August 2011 Glasvegas had just been dropped by their record label (Columbia) and there were even mutterings that the group may split. Fast forward nearly two years and not only are they still together, have their own label Go Wow Records but also have a new album ready for release.
“Later…When the TV Turns to Static” is the third studio album by Glasvegas and has been written and produced by lead singer James Allan. It has been given a 2nd September 2013 release date and comes hot on the heals of the bands new EP “If”.
The EP contains 4 tracks and includes a cover version of the brilliant PJ Harvey song “The Words That Maketh Murder”. Both the EP and LP also contain the new single “If” which incredibly features a cameo by William Shatner in the video (see above)
A full set of tour dates have also been released. These are…
29/9 – Cockpit, Leeds
30/9 – The Fleece, Bristol
2/10 – The Scala, London
5/10 – Plug, Sheffield
6/10 – Rock City, Nottingham
