Varley release captivating new single ‘Lonely Were The Days’

Following the success of their debut, ‘Roamer’ (which reached #23 in the Spotify viral charts) earlier this year, Berlin-based trio Varley have now shared completely addictive new single ‘Lonely Were The Days’. Consisting of Claire Ann Varley, Matthias Heising and Joschka Bender, the band formed on the way home after a night out bowling, and are now set on bowling us all over with their rich, cinematic sounds.

Reflecting on the negative effects that social media can have on young people today, ‘Lonely Were The Days’ flows with the crystal clear, glistening vocals of Irish front woman Claire Ann Varley at the forefront. Propelled by infectious glitchy beats, a sweeping layered soundscape is created, oozing a soulful emotion, resulting in a captivating slice of catchy alt-pop that’ll cast its spell over you on first listen.

‘Lonely Were The Days’ is out now via Seahorse Music. Catch Varley live in the UK at the following dates:

7th November 2018 – The Victoria, London (supporting Bryde)
1st December 2018 – Notting Hill Arts Club, London (for Get In Her Ears)
