Tool reveal title track from long-awaited fifth album Fear Inoculum

Tool recently announced the release of their long-awaited fifth album Fear Inoculum, their first for 13 years. As promised, the prog metal quartet revealed the first song from this album. Check out the ten minute title-track directly below:

The album will be released digitally and as limited edition CD package (pre-order). Created and directed by guitarist Adam Jones, it will contain a 4” HD rechargeable screen with exclusive video footage, a charging cable, a 2 watt speaker, a 36-page booklet and a digital download card.

Fear Inoculum is scheduled for release on 30th August via RCA Records. The album is engineering and mixed by Joe Barresi who also worked with the bands last album, 2006’s 10,000 Days. News about a vinyl edition of the album is forthcoming.

As part of the build up to the release of their fifth album, Tool finally issued their back catalog on streaming services leading to a number of their albums and tracks occupying the upper reaches of the iTunes download charts.
