In all the various tangents of the genre, folk music is doing very well at the moment. Whilst the more conventional singer-songwriter branch of the style is positively flourishing, the murkier waters of fringe and experimental folk are enjoying something of a resurgence too. London quintet Stick In The Wheel have proved to be intriguing propagators of alt-folk over the last few years. The group are currently prepping their sophomore effort ‘Follow Them True’ to be released on the 26th of this month and have just shared the final single from the album, the slow-burning, engrossing ‘As I Roved Out’.
