Indie artist Shlomi Ash is releasing his brand new single “Wake Up” this October along with an unorthodox music video involving a street performer gone mad. The track and it’s accompanying video are loosely based around the JFK quote “the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing“.
Self-taught and starting young, Shlomi is true to the title of lifetime musician. He draws influences from folk and blues legends including Bruce Springsteen and Johnny Cash, as well as writers such as Walt Whitman and Bob Dylan.
Moving to England after gaining inspiration from his world travels, Shlomi immediately started working with Chris Potter (The Verve, The Rolling Stones, Blur) to develop Shlomi’s music. Accompanied by world-renowned musicians, Shlomi’s eleven-track EP came to life.
“Wake Up” is the 2nd single from his upcoming debut album, and sees Shlomi at his most energetic without relinquishing his pop sensibilities.
