Royal Trux announce first record in 17 years

Cult DC noise-rockers Royal Trux have announced their first new album in 17 years, ‘Platinum Tips And Ice Cream’.

During their original tenure (1987 – 2001) the group were raw and uncompromising, releasing a stream of albums that covered everything from scuzzy garage punk to out-and-out avant-garde rock.  The band reformed in 2015 and have played sporadic live shows since, but up until now, they hadn’t hinted that they were working on new material.  ‘Platinum Tips And Ice Cream’ looks set to recapture rough ‘n’ ready energy of past work, having been recorded live and impromptu over the course of two days in 2015, with no overdubs.

The album will appear on shelves 16th June via Drag City.
