Beautiful light guitars and leading vocals that are the foundations for a track with a warm summer feel to it, and is the perfect tonic for the coming weekend. ‘1936’ has today been revealed by Baraboo six piece PHOX and can be heard in all of its stunning glory below. The track is a precursor to their single ‘Slow Motion’ which is out just next week (9th June 2014). Two new singles in one week … who said you can’t have your cake and eat it?

The band are already causing a stir in their native America following tours with Laura Mvula and The Lumineers. Their self-titled album is due for release on September 1st with a show at St Pancras Church in London that day, followed by a short tour at the start of November (following on from the bands previous dates in April). If you want to experience this quite unique indie-folk crossover then the band will also be playing this years ‘End of the Road Festival’ (29th – 31st August 2014)
