NOMAD and LOLA release dark pop song “Bang Bang” from debut EP NOIR

The modern-day power pop couple, NOMAD and LOLA, combine their vast musical backgrounds in their debut EP, NOIR, which drops on October 17, 2019. The husband and wife duo carefully selected five iconic tracks that they re-imagined with a dark pop cinematic twist. On the EP, the duo brought together an all-star cast of consummate musicians including Phil Lassiter (trumpet player for Prince), Dave Hooper (Drummer for Dave Koz), Dmitry Gorodetsky (Bassist for Charlie Puth) and Richie Pena (Drums/Programmer for Babyface). Their first single, “Bang Bang”, is out now with a music video coming soon!

Following in the footsteps of legendary couples, such as Sonny & Cher, Johnny & June, and Captain & Tennille, NOMAD and LOLA unite their diverse backgrounds to bring out each others best. NOMAD comes from Pop, Rock, Latin, Soul, Classical, Funk, and Jazz. He is fluent in over 2 dozen stringed instruments and has composed countless TV shows, commercials, films, as well as chart topping albums. NOMAD is also the Music director and guitarist for Grammy-winning producer and songwriter, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds.

Lola brings her fiery personality and powerful vocal range to the duo. She had been writing songs and performing since her teens. The two met at the premiere LA rehearsal studio, CenterStaging, and clicked musically and personally.

Today, NOMAD and LOLA present their noir stylings of five classic songs from the worlds of rock (Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick In The Wall”) to love ballads from the 40s and 50s (“Besame Mucho” and “Similau”). Their NOIR EP also includes Nancy Sinatra’s smash 60s single “Bang-Bang” and a mash-up of Nina Simone’s “Summertime” and George Harrison’s “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”.
