Israeli indie rockers return with hard hitting single ‘Cutting Corners’
Iris Hill create hard hitting anthems that draw influences from the mid-to-late 00’s indie-rock
scene, for fans of artists as diverse as Radiohead, Franz Ferdinand, as well as Arctic
Monkeys. This four-piece are not your usual band hailing from Sheffield, Manchester or
Leeds, but instead Netanya, Israel. Ever since their inception, the band have performed at
some of Israel’s most iconic venues, charming their audiences with astonishing grooves and
emphatic guitar lines.
‘Cutting Corners’ is a euphoric, indie rock track about wanting to take the easy route in life.
Following the success of their debut single produced by Noam Levinberg, the band have
kept their strong and gritty sound, with the combination of melodic tones, guitar riffs and
those gigantic hooks we all crave.
Blurring the lines between various genres and influences once more, the song resonates
with people in all walks of life, with immediate lyrics describing wanting to ‘have fun’ and of
course ‘cut corners’, a catchy, light-hearted message with a serious guitar driven undertone.
Ending on an explosive, high energy solo, this is typical of the bands work to date and will
keep audiences hooked throughout.
