July 28th is creeping ever-closer which means the long-awaited 5th full length from Manchester Orchestra is nearly upon us. The Atlanta four piece have already given us ‘The Gold’ and its follow-up, ‘The Alien’, both of which showcased two different sides to the band – the third preview track from ‘A Black Mile to the Surface’ sees them take another turn.
Following another one of their cryptic social media posts on Saturday featuring 3 phone numbers (see below), the band premiered ‘The Moth’, a dark and brooding number, on Daniel P. Carter’s Rock Show on Sunday evening.

The band have since confirmed that ‘The Moth’ is the last track we’ll hear from the new record until its release but there’s already every indication that this is going to be a very different Manchester Orchestra album.
