Jon Patrick Walker hails from New York City (and occasionally Los Angeles). Most indieartists don’t have that kind of luxury. But music isn’t Waker’s day job. He and his wife (Hope Davis) are both working actors. Walker is currently in the touring company of a little known play, “Hamilton.”
But when he’s not acting, Jon Patrick Walker likes to rock. He just released his newest EP, titled You And I, and it’s all over the place in the most delightful way. There’s some lovely mellow numbers like the title track and “Your Open Hand” (a duet with his wife). There’s some rockers like the silly “Jack O’bells” and the sillier “I Can’t Not Do the Robot (When I’m Dancing With You).”
The song we’re sharing today is somewhere in between, a heartfelt song about not letting a break up get the best of you. So don’t sit around and cry. Let Jon Patrick Walker put some pep back in your step!
