Idolising Nova: Jack Fulton Smith (Bass & lead singer), Kris Lee (Guitar & keyboard/ synth) and Kyle O’Sullivan (Drums and backing vocals) are a 3-piece indie pop band from Peterborough, recognised as one of the most exciting upcoming bands in the UK. Their achievements over the past 12 months have been many: their catchy, anthemic music has been played on national TV and radio, including BBC Radio 2 and ITV and they’ve toured the UK and Europe extensively, including supporting The Vamps on their European tour and slots at Hit The North Festival and La French Escapade in Paris.
Having spent time in the studio recording “Run Away” with Sugar House (worked with Pale Waves and Viola Beach) and the track then being mixed by James K Lewis (mixed for Rudimental, Clean Bandit, Charli XCX, Jess Glynne), we are left with a well-produced indie pop banger which has already received praise and support from Janice Long (BBC Radio Wales), Mel Lewis (BBC Radio 1 Music Team/ Best New Pop), Vincenzo Ferrara (Producer at BBC Radio 1), Joe Flemons (JJ, Capital FM) and Tom Simkins (BBC Introducing Cambridgeshire), as well as being played on ITV’s “This Morning”.
“Run Away” is undoubtedly one of those rare animals: a big, catchy indie pop track that gets stuck in your head after the first listen. As Jack from the band says: “We played it in Paris a few days after it was released and people were already singing it back to us, so it’s definitely an earworm! The lyrics are about someone escaping to a “better world” and this feel good, easy to listen to track in itself gives you a sense of escapism for a few minutes”
Densely packed with danceable melodies, swirling synths, pulsating guitars and driving vocals, the euphoric “Run Away” will sound great blasting through speakers over the coming Summer months!
