Multi-award winning UK beatboxer turned electronic pop artist, Grace Savage, has unveiled her new single, ‘Falls The Heart’.
A psychedelic slice of electronica, ‘Falls The Heart’ pairs Grace’s hypnotic vocals with dark, trip-hop style production. Produced by Barny Barnicott (Sam Fender, Jungle, Everyone You Know), the single also features the rap stylings of up-and-coming artist Lady Sanity. The kaleidoscopic visuals for ‘Falls The Heart’ explore an abstract journey through Grace’s mind.
When speaking about ‘Falls The Heart’, Grace says, “As a gay/queer woman, I have spent many years in relationships with “straight women” where I was hidden. Hidden from their family, their friends and work colleagues. In private I was their lover and in public, I was their “best friend”. Holding hands under tables. Kissing in toilets. It’s fun for a few months and then when months grow into years it just feels shit.”
‘Falls The Heart’ is the first single from Grace’s forthcoming ‘Instinct’ EP, due out 5th June. The track has already received support from BBC Introducing, who crowned the single their ‘Upload of the Week’ in Cornwall and Devon.
Grace first burst onto the scene in 2017 with debut EP ‘Savage Grace’, turning heads with her unique electronic sound and lyrical expression. Continuing her ascent up the ranks, Grace’s single ‘Running Under Water’ was named as the BBC Radio 1’s ‘Introducing Track of the Week’ in 2018 and the following year she received the highly competitive PRS Momentum Fund. Grace has also made her mark on the live music circuit having performed at Glastonbury, Latitude and Wilderness last summer to help her solidify her ever-growing fanbase. Not stopping there, Grace landed a coveted Tedx talk on her experiences on being a female beatboxer in the music industry.
A superb introduction to her upcoming fourth EP Instinct, ‘Falls The Heart’ marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for Grace Savage.
