Gabe River embodies creativity. From performing at festivals in his hometown of Taormina, Sicily, to studying film in London, Gabe has now turned his artful tendencies towards making hazy, experimental alt-pop. Although he cites his inspirations as artists such as Maroon 5, Melanie Martinez and Glass Animals, Gabe is creating a realm of his own. His new single ‘Late Night Conversation’ features honeyed harmonies and soaring synths, letting us into Gabe’s visionary mind through candid lyrics.
Of his latest release, Gabe explained: “This is the type of song you want to listen to at 11pm when you’re contemplating all the things you’re doing wrong in your life.” He also discussed his ambitions for the future, as he builds up to an EP release and self-directed musicvideos. “Storytelling is what drives people to feel and engage with the world. I want everyone to hear mine.”
‘Late Night Conversation’ follows Gabe’s debut single ‘Summer’, an electric pop tune filled with synths and urban sounds. These first two releases are indicative of a glowing future for this ambitious Scilian, whose creativity knows no limits. We look forward to seeing what he conjures up next.
