From The Cave drop quirky new alt-pop single

London-based international alt-pop trio From The Cave are back today with their new single Get A Life. The three vocalists and multi-instrumentalists hail from the UK, Denmark and Sweden and their music is an appropriately diverse, quirky and super-catchy melting pot of pop, indie, hip-hop and reggaetón.

The pigeonhole-defying new song is out now on all streaming platforms – check it out on Soundlcloud here now.

“I think the lyrics probably mean different things to the three of us. I got the idea for the lyrics by using a free website called ‘Online Voice Generator’ where you can type in a text and a robotic voice reads it back to you,” explains the band’s Kristian Møller on the new single. “So I experimented with this idea of the robot lecturing me, or telling me off. It was something along the lines of “you’re worthless, and your band sucks”. Most of the ‘robot’ lines ended up becoming parts of the lyrics in Get A Life. I wrote the lyrics during a period where I was being particularly negative about the situation in the band. So I guess it’s a song directed to my own negativity.”

With over 4 years of gigging on the London scene under their belt as well as tours of Scandinavia and festival performances, the band have honed a dynamic live show that reflects their anything-goes musical tastes and influences. Last years’ well-received MedievalEP drew on a varied musical palette alongside literary and historical inspirations, and the band will be releasing a string of new singles in 2019.
