Henry and Ethan are four students that make up Bristol/Sheffield based IndieRock band Exiled, the love
child of a steamy one night stand between The Wombats & Catfish and The
Bottlemen, with a guitar led sound made for good times, rough
nights and growing
single ‘Remind Me’ was all about strobe lit uni life with infectious,
unassuming charm. Along with the follow up singles Block 2, Oh My and Luna it
prompted BBC Introducing Sheffield’s Christian Carlisle to describe Exiled as
“perfectly executed indiepop” with arena filling tunes.
With roots in Sheffield, Bristol and Birmingham, the
boys’ collective love for indiepop and surf rock lay the foundations for the
band’s sound; a nod towards Circa Waves, with a hint of Hockey Dad and a
suggestion of The Night Cafe.
Exiled are headed by energetic front man and rhythm
guitarist Max Clutterbuck, whose relatable lyrics find the perfect companion in
lead guitarist Jack Berry’s dynamic and atmospheric riffs. The rhythm section
of the band is comprised of bassist Henry Robinson and drummer Ethan Reeves,
lifelong friends whose melodic bass-lines and hard-hitting beats seamlessly
intertwine to provide the ideal backdrop for the band’s sound.
Praised by BBC Introducing for writing relatable
songs strewn with catchy hooks and ear worm riffs, 2018 saw the band release
three brand new singles; one of which being billed as one of BBC Introducing in
Sheffield’s favourite tracks of the year.
