Poise, delicate vocals, and an ethereal presence are what South Korean artist Elli K offers in her latest single “Dawn”, featuring acclaimed composer Leo Z. Now she proceeds it with the visually striking music video encompassing all she has to offer as a performer.
“Dawn” is a complex song inspired by departing love, and the immortality of that heartbreaking love. The music video becomes the personification of that experience. Elli K and Leo Z stand distant, backs turned and haloed under warm lighting. The simple, yet effective details, bring the artistic vision to life, especially as it builds to the chorus.
Filmed at the Blue Bird Theater in South Korea, “Dawn” was directed by In Hoon Lee. A notable artistic director, he has worked with SM Entertainment artists such as EXO’s Baek Hyun and NCT Dream. His expertise led to creating a clear and concise embodiment of the lyrical meaning.
“Dawn” is the beginning of Elli K’s new musical journey – sharing her music with the western audiences. The single is the first off her upcoming EP, Love Collage. Comprised of original tracks, the record captures the essence of love and its many colors through beauty, lyricism, and melody.
Currently, Elli K is excited to present her new music video for “Dawn”, as well as introduce her musical vision. The new EP, Love Collage, will be released this winter. In the meantime, Elli K intends to follow up “Dawn” with more enchanting tracks. Be sure to follow Elli K on social media for all music releases and updates.
