It’s hard enough to admit when you’ve made a mistake. Sometimes it’s even harder asking for forgiveness.
In her new single, “Forgive,” Colorado mom, entrepreneur and musician Elise Lieberth sings about a time she asked for forgiveness. She wrote the song after a painful experience with a close relative. She says that the song was “my plea, begging her to forgive me and no longer hold a grudge.”
The song is one of the 8 original songs off the artist’s third album, Invincible, set to release on January 31, 2020. The songs are inspired by Lieberth’s personal life experiences, including heartbreak, forgiveness, beauty, redemption and being unbreakable.
With her past two albums, Lieberth has amassed over 10 million Spotify streams, 25K YouTube subscribers, and over 3 million YouTube views. She also garnered over TikTok fame earlier this year. Her cover song “According to You” was used in over 76,000 videos on the popular app. When Lieberth’s teenage daughter decided to have her mom make an appearance in her TikTok video, it reached over 1 million views in 4 days!

More about Elise Lieberth
Having developed a love for singing and performing at a very young age, Lieberth knew that music would be her lifelong passion. Music also became the vehicle that carried her through some of the darkest periods of her life. She grew up in a dysfunctional household, enduring years of physical and emotional abuse as a child and teenager. Her father suffered from bi-polar disorder and alcoholism. She later became a teen mom, married young and quickly divorced, left as a single mom of two young children.
Determined to never let her circumstances break her spirit, Lieberth poured her pain, fears and anger into her music. Blessed with her vocal abilities, she forged ahead with her music, singing in various bands. In 2009, she met local musician-turned-YouTube-sensation Tyler Ward, who co-wrote and produced her first album, Letters From Elise, which was released in May 2010.
From 2010-2013, she gained a solid YouTube following and fanbase while releasing over 80 songs, both originals and covers, along with four albums. Her underlying pain and strong emotions come through in her soulful vocals on cover songs by other powerful pop singers, including Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Bonnie Tyler, Sam Smith and Mary Lambert. Her cover songs “Holding Out For A Hero” and “She Keeps me Warm” peaked at #26 and #43 respectively on the iTunes Singer-songwriter chart. Her “We are the World” collaboration with YouTuber Tyler Ward went viral in 2010, launching her and many artists’ YouTube careers. She released her self-titled original album in 2013, and it quickly climbed to #72 on the iTunes singer-songwriter chart.
With her fanbase continuing to skyrocket, Lieberth realized this was a sign that she needed to create more music. In 2018, she collaborated on her new album, Invincible, with her friend, local musician and actress Rachel James.
Today, Elise Lieberth remains standing, stronger than ever. She wants to share her story and encourage others, especially women, that they too can become invincible even in the face of immense struggle and pain. Through her new album, Invincible, Lieberth demonstrates what is possible when you never give up on yourself.
